SUPPORT SERVICE WORKER - State of Illinois : Job Details

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Support Service Worker for the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois to perform routine housekeeping functions. Maintains the cleanliness and sanitary environment of assigned areas. Operates a variety of cleaning machines and equipment. Reports equipment repairs, supply shortages and reordering to the supervisor. Essential Functions Performs routine housekeeping functions. Performs manual tasks such as dusting, polishing, and cleaning furniture woodwork, vents, fixtures and equipment, washing windows, cleaning windowsills inside and outside. Operates a variety of cleaning machines and equipment in daily function, responsible for the care and storage of equipment and materials. Maintains the cleanliness and sanitary environment of assigned areas to ensure that sanitation standards are met. Functions interchangeably with other housekeeping personnel.
