Location: Phoenix, AZ

About the Role: Do you want to be part of an organization that is developing and launching a new business model? If so, the Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) team is looking for an experienced Transportation Coordinator with a strong record of achieving results. This role involves owning and driving accurate load scheduling for a quickly growing business segment. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our customers, and establishing end-to-end transportation scheduling processes. AWD transportation encompasses all operations that deliver worldwide shipments from our distribution centers. The AWD team needs exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to design, develop, and improve our transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Tool and Report Management: Create and maintain tools and reports that support both senior leadership and site-level operators.
  • Resource Coordination: Partner with teams across the business and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.
  • Problem Solving: Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
  • Priority Management: Manage multiple ongoing priorities and closely adhere to internal team and stakeholder SLAs.
  • Metric Design: Design new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support future business processes and ensure sustainability and scalability.
  • Data Aggregation: Enable effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources to provide visibility to pending changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update documentation for internal training and reference.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in transportation coordination or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience in designing and implementing metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Information:
