Apply at Careers Golden State Farm Credit DEADLINE TO APPLY: January 31st, 2025Location: Hanford, CASalary Range: Support Specialist: $45,703 - $67,252 Senior Support Specialist: $50,557 - $74,948 Position Summary: The Support Specialist prepares reports, documents and inputs data for the Credit Analyst and Loan Officers to use in decision-making. The position offers support to the Loan Officer with customer questions and information a customer may need for their account. The years of experience, requisite knowledge and skills of the incumbent, and complexity of assignments will differentiate between the Support Specialist and the Senior Support Specialist levels. Essential Functions

  • Documentation (30%)
    • Orders verifications and searches (OFAC, credit, Secretary of State, UCC request)
    • Creates customer application and loan offer packages
    • Creates and shares loan documents into the appropriate system
    • Verifies correct approval signatures/notes in content management system and internal loan software
    • Uploads financial and collateral data
  • Loan Administration (30%)
    • Prints loan documents and prepares them for signatures
    • Requests transfers of funds to accounting
    • Packages documents to be delivered to title companies
    • Enters and verifies loan information in internal loan software
    • Scans and files supporting electronic loan documents in content management software and loan files
    • Obtains customer signatures on documents
    • Answers customer questions regarding loan disbursements
    • Serves as Notary for customers
    • Types letters for Land Bank loans and past due loans
    • Prepares letters to customers for past due loans
  • Customer Service (30%)
    • Present a professional and welcoming image of Golden State Farm Credit to customers, office visitors, and callers.
    • Greets and assists internal and external customers
    • Answers, screens, and transfers phone calls accurately
    • Checks in guests and vendors per security procedure
    • Opens and closes the office
    • Develops and maintains positive customer relationships. Ensure timely, thorough, and responsive service that exceeds customer expectations.
    • Responds independently and courteously to requests for information and assistance
    • Determines which department or employee to contact with inquiries about new loans, appraisals, or facility issues
    • Meets with customers to collect financial information and discuss new loan opportunities
  • Office Administration (10%)
    • Monitors and orders office supplies
    • Orders food and beverages for in-house and external meetings as requested
    • Schedules in-house and external meetings along with assembly of relevant materials
    • Monitors facility conditions and contacts vendors to fix maintenance issues
    • Coordinates with all mail carriers for mail/delivery pickup and drop-offs
    • Provide varied, confidential and responsible office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment, tact, and discretion.
    • Organizes, files and maintains various administrative and confidential files, reports and log
  • Data Security and Confidentiality
    • Appropriately protects the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems and data and clients' data

    • Understands, applies, and supports the Association mission and vision statement in a positive, professional manner at work and with customers in all settings
Knowledge & skills
  • Knowledge of the agriculture, financial and real estate industry, and applied business mathematics and principles.
  • Must be able to use computer technology and a wide variety of software applications including Microsoft Office Suite applications, computers, current software, and other office tools.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Skill in serving and working effectively with both external and internal customers in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Skill in analyzing information and problem solving to formulate logical and objective conclusions.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and methods.

Additional Knowledge and Skills for Senior Level
  • Proficient skill in using software such as NGS.
  • Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate loan automation systems.
  • Advanced knowledge in reviewing and using the loan documentation guide and Onbase checklist, loan queue, and related processes.
Qualifications
  • Support Specialist: High School Diploma, no experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Senior Support Specialist: Associate's Degree, 2 years experience in banking or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Physical Demands Positions in this class typically require: keying, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
