Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Plans, oversees and supervises the day-to-dayoperations of promotions and events activities to ensure that programs effectivelystimulate customer patronage at Harrah's/Harveys. Supervises the Events & Promotions staffin ensuring activities are being held to a high standard and on a stricttimeline to ensure the highest quality.KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:•Organizes,schedules and coordinates assigned programs to ensure that the departmentobjectives of increasing patronage and profitability for Harrah's/Harveys areachieved.•Maintainsa thorough working knowledge of property and department policies andprocedures. Provides information andtrains staff on any changes.•Supervisesthe Events and Promotions Associates so that all events and promotions areexecuted efficiently and effectively.•Counsels,guides and evaluates Events and Promotions Associates in the proper performanceof their duties. Prepares and presentstheir periodical performance review accurately and on time. Recommends wage increase within Wage andSalary Guidelines.•Recommendspersonnel changes, including hiring and termination.•Continuallyevaluates all player events and promotions to ensure guest satisfaction,profitability and increasing market share. Makes recommendations for changes or new programs that will stimulatebusiness.•Keepsabreast of competitive casino marketing events and promotions.•Overseesthe execution of all events and promotion development to ensure the highestquality experience for our guests.•Establishesand maintains effective communication and working relationships with otherdepartments, properties, corporate and outside vendors in order to secure andmaintain their cooperation for assistance with promotions/events. Works as a team with the Promotions/Eventsstaff and Marketing department.•Reportsto the Events & Promotions Manager and assists in overall execution ofdepartment goals and objectives. Supports E&P Manager in development of new and current Events andPromotions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: •Collegedegree with emphasis on marketing, business administration or equivalent orcomparable experience•Minimumof two years in organizing promotions/events or related activities required•Twoyears supervisory experience preferredQUALIFICATIONS:•Fluent and literate in English•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Ability to meet people easily and converse in a relaxed and friendly manner•Excellent guest and employee relations•Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a capacity to work independently and make appropriate decisions without supervision•Ability to handle many projects at one time and to react well under pressure•Ability to lead and motivate staff•Ability to set consistent examples to staff in excellent guest service and organizational skills, professionalism and attention to detail•Ability to obtain a Nevada Gaming license•Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business•Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
