Surface Mobile Equipment Operator WV - BLACKHAWK COAL COMPANY : Job Details

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.* Examines and performs fueling and routine servicing, which includes -- perform pre-operational checks of equipmentthat include: walk around visual inspection, check fluid levels, safety equipment, tires, steering, brakes, etc* Mounts and dismounts equipment by climbing or descending the boarding ladder or steps* Operates equipment by moving levers, or steering-wheel and depressing pedals or operating other controls to stop, start, maintain proper speed, direction and complete task as requiredOther Duties/Responsibilities:* Perform other duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Experience and knowledge to operate equipment.* Ability to recognize potential problems with equipment* Know the lubrication and service requirements of the equipment being operated.* Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures for the equipment being operated, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.Working Environment/Physical Activities:This position requires the operator to possess the dexterity to work and operate machinery and equipment. The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment.Education, Qualifications and Training:Annual 8 hour refresher trainingOn-the-job experienceVocational training (optional)Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations, and/or management
