Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, experienced, energetic and knowledgeable full-time Surgery Scheduler / Surgery Coordinator to lead our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice.
Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical, and plastic surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Surgery Scheduler Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtains prior authorization on surgical procedures and clinic procedures as requiredCommunicates the financial aspects of the patient's surgical and medical care with the patient. This includes a written explanation of fee schedules provided prior to surgery and documented in the chartWork supportively & professionally with Tayani Institute surgeons and staff, as well as with primary care physician for surgical clearanceWorks with the doctors in clinic providing in-person patient consultation to schedule surgeries and provide patients with written/verbal explanation of surgery process and requirementsCreates and completes surgery charts and provides them to the surgery center within the required time frameTravels between officesCommunicates effectively with patients & physicians PM22
Requirements:
Experience coordinating surgeries at a high levelMedical office insurance and obtaining authorizations; Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not requiredFlexibility - Ability to travel between officesEffective communicator - to patients & physiciansEHR experience - at least 1+ year - NextGen preferredGreat leadership and teamwork skills Compensation details: 25-28 Hourly Wage
