Pride Health is currently hiring a Surg Tech for our client in Maple Grove! With a 7.5k sign-on bonus for 1+ years of experience, and a 5k sign-on bonus for less than one year of experience! New grads with successfully completed clinical experience are encouraged to apply!
Duties:
- Assists the surgeon during operative procedures with other duties within the scope of practice, such as holding retractors, cutting suture material as directed by the surgeon, connecting drains to suction apparatus, and applying dressing.
- Creates a safe customer environment by implementing surgical asepsis, sterile technique, surgical conscience, universal precautions, and all customer safety procedures.
- Cares for instruments and equipment before, during, and after surgery to ensure proper functioning of the instruments and equipment for future use.
- Participates in Quality Improvement activities to ensure exceptional care for surgical services customers and families.
- Recognizes emergencies and responds promptly and effectively.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes for customers.
- Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting, and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certified Surgical Technologist through NBST, or NCCT
- Current BLS certification is required
- 1 year of CST experience is preferred, but new grads with completed clinical experience are encouraged to apply!
- Solid computer skills required (MS applications, internet, etc.)
