WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Working under the direct supervision of the Party Chief, you'll conduct all preparatory work for daily surveying as well as assist in performing all surveying functions, including field staking and compilation of survey field data. Once selected to join our team, you will:
  • Conduct all daily survey preparation, including loading the vehicle with all necessary supplies and ensuring all equipment is fully charged and functioning.
  • Conduct basic plan reading to prepare for surveying at hand (i.e., site plans, boundary plans, highway plans, profile and cross sections, horizontal and vertical curves, pipeline plans, foundation plans, and developing existing and finished contours)
  • Perform basic surveys including leveling, traversing, boundary surveys, construction surveys, topographic surveys, and horizontal/vertical control surveys.
  • Operate, check, and make basic field adjustments on field equipment to include but not limited to transits, total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, levels, compass, tribrachs, tripods, and GPS equipment (RTK, RTN, Static, etc.)
  • Interpret control and boundary monument records and data sheets, as well as locate control and boundary monuments in the field.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are organized and orderly in equipment storage room.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of general field surveying methods and use of surveying equipment
SKILLS:
  • Proficient with mid-level math
  • High attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
EXPERIENCE:
  • 0-1 years of experience
