Survey Crew ChiefSummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief. The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for leading survey crews in the field to collect data, conduct surveys, and provide accurate measurements and documentation for various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail.Job Responsibilities- Lead and supervise survey crews in the field to ensure accurate and efficient data collection- Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors- Plan and organize surveying activities according to project requirements and deadlines- Train and mentor junior survey crew members to develop their skills and capabilities- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure surveying activities align with project goals and objectives- Maintain accurate records of surveying activities, including field notes, sketches, and survey dataJob RequirementsJob Requirements- Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field preferred- 3+ years of experience as a surveying party chief- NCDOT certification, preferred- Proficiency in operating surveying equipment and software, including total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD- Strong understanding of surveying techniques, principles, and procedures- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required
