Are you a detail-oriented and skilled professional passionate about land surveying and project management? MBL Land Development & Permitting is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our growing team. Take the lead in managing diverse land survey projects, ensuring precision, compliance, and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
As a Survey Project Manager, you will:
- Project Oversight: Review RFPs, prepare estimates, and manage projects from planning to delivery.
- Research & Preparation:
- Conduct research with municipalities, registries of deeds, and utility companies.
- Schedule and coordinate fieldwork, providing necessary data and support to field crews.
- Survey Expertise:
- Perform property line calculations and determine boundaries.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting plans, creating surfaces, and calculating lot closures.
- Prepare and review a variety of plans (Existing Conditions, Plot Plans, ALTA Plans, As-Built Plans, etc.) for accuracy and compliance.
- Team Leadership:
- Train and mentor survey staff while implementing safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain office, drafting, and fieldwork standards.
- Monitor survey supplies and maintain survey vehicles.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary contact for clients, subconsultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless scheduling and timely submissions.
- Hands-On Support: Conduct site visits and provide field assistance when needed.
What You Bring
- Experience & Skills:
- 4+ years of professional land surveying or managerial experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong knowledge of survey equipment and technologies.
- Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills and technologies.
- Strong communication, listening, and writing abilities.
- Adaptability to changing workloads with the ability to take on new roles and delegate effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform fieldwork in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- LSIT or PLS certification.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (a plus).
