Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, topography, and other features. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles and the ability to utilize various tools and technologies to collect accurate data. The Surveyor will work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and accurately.

Duties

• Conduct land surveys using GPS, Total Stations, and other surveying equipment.
• Prepare detailed survey drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Carlson software.
• Collect data on land features, boundaries, and elevations for various projects.
• Analyze survey data and prepare reports that summarize findings.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate measurements and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in all surveying activities.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is calibrated for precise measurements.

Skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis.
• Must have a PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) License
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for drafting survey plans.
• Experience with GPS technology, specifically Trimble systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of geometry as it relates to surveying tasks.
• Excellent data collection skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Carlson software for survey management is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to assess survey results accurately.
