Job DescriptionSUMMARY:Responsible for measuring and mapping land, water, and airspace to determine property boundaries, construction sites, and other important features using specialized equipment and technology to collect data, analyze it to create detailed reports and maps. Works closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate and precise measurements for various projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinates and schedules project assignments based on facility capabilities and capacity.
  • Confirms and plans projects based on client statement of work.
  • Performs data collection using surveying instruments/equipment, GPS, etc.
  • Prepares and reviews survey plans, legal descriptions, exhibits, and other documents that may be required by clients, Pace staff, and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures all surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards as applicable.
  • Follows all quality control measures to verify the accuracy and completeness of survey data.
  • Tracks and maintains organized and detailed records of project documents, field information, and notes, as well as survey computations.
  • Provides excellent communication with clients, staff, and agencies as to project scope, budget, and time frame to promote exceptional service and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, GIS or Environmental Services, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in field surveying
  • 2+ years of CAD experience, required
  • GIS Certification, preferred
  • SIT or PLS certification, preferred
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
  • Valid drivers license
Required Knowledge:
  • Principles and practice of geometric, topographic, or boundary surveying.
  • Computer applications and systems related to the work, such as AutoCAD and ArcMap.
  • Surveying equipment related to the job such as receivers, data collectors, handheld GPS, total stations
  • Principles and techniques of using traversing and GPS control networks
