**SUSHI CHEF (ENTRY LEVEL)**
We are looking for professional sushi chefs who are passionate, detail oriented and can follow standard recipes The ideal candidate is committed to the art and craft of sushi, and looking to take their skillset to the next level.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Preparing for service (e.g. vegetables, preparing fish, rice and sauces)
* Answer, report and follow the instructions of the Executive Sushi Chef
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a high quality and timely fashion
* Work with the team to portion prep work for other shifts
* Monitor product freshness and rotate product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with the team and guests
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Positive attitude, friendly, great personality, passionate
* Experience is a plus but not required
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
* Familiar with industries best practices
* Must be able to follow all safety, health and sanitation procedures
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
* Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds at a time on a regular basis
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Must be 18 years or older
