Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall operation of the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort properties. Works with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise as the senior leader of the property. Creates the processes and environment that drive customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Manages the operation to achieve the revenue, expense, and profitability goals. Represents Harrah's in the local community. Ensures that all regulatory standards are met.
Qualifications:
* 7-10 years' experience in a senior operations, marketing, finance, or human resources position.
* Prior experience in the gaming operations or marketing areas is required.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
* Excellent financial analysis skills required.
* A demonstrated ability to think strategically and perform competitive analysis is required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills required to host customers on the floor and at casino events, sometimes at different Harrah's locations.
* Excellent motivational ability required to create high levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:
* Creates the long-range plan, operating plan, and capital plans for the property.
* Adjusts expenses to achieve profitability plans.
* Selects qualified executives to staff senior management positions.
* Trains, motivates, and evaluates senior staff.
* Creates, adjusts, and analyzes direct mail programs, promotions, special events, and advertising to drive revenue.
* Participates in customer events.
* Greets and hosts customers on the casino floor.
* Observes employee activity on the casino floor and in the back of house areas.
* Attends community events as the key Harrah's representative, making presentations to community leaders.
* Makes presentations to corporate executives and employees regarding future business plans.
* Walks the property on a daily basis to identify need for product improvements and cleanliness.
* Walks the property on a daily basis interacting with employees and customers.
* Conducts Performance Reviews
* Makes or recommends wage increases
* Makes or recommends promotions
* Provides for safety and security
* Handles employees' complaints or grievances
* Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees
* Plans work
* Supervises and monitor's work
* Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws

* Ability to travel to different cities.
* Ability to work over 10 hours per day with few breaks in a very stressful, smoke-filled environment.
* Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
