Schedule: Full-time. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs.

In This Role, You Will:

Serve as the customer experience expert for the company's external digital services and solutions, and oversee the strategy and outcomes for these products. You will use your expertise and understanding of business operations and processes to translate business needs and vision into actionable product features and functionalities. You will partner with internal teams to implement the product strategy, manage the product lifecycle, and gather customer insights for ongoing development opportunities.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Create and execute the digital product vision and multi-year roadmap in support of Mariner's ambitious long term strategic and growth objectives.
  • Build and lead a high performing team that would drive the execution of this roadmap.
  • Develop innovative, transformational ideas and approaches on how to seamlessly blend digital and in-person user experience to maximize customer lifetime value and fully leverage Mariner's unique capabilities.
  • Work closely with operations, marketing and other teams to ensure that innovations in digital experience are synergistic to Mariner's relationship-based business model.
  • Stay on top of industry developments and identify and implement cutting edge solutions.
  • Serve as the main expert on customer experience and product design; possess the confidence and deep knowledge to influence and shape the C-suite's thinking in this space.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with the development team that will execute on the business requirements developed by the product team.
  • Develop robust disciplines and controls around UAT and other critical processes that ensure business requirements are executed on with accuracy, precision and speed.
  • Work with the executive team to develop product KPIs to measure and drive performance, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. Implement dashboards and reports to track product KPIs, ensuring alignment to business objectives.
  • Stay up to date on product updates in order to optimize value and product performance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and other updates to provide senior leadership with visibility into KPIs and business results.
  • Responsible for managerial matters such as performance appraisals and goal setting, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
  • May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years' related experience, with at least ten (10) years of experience directly managing product design and customer experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry, including experience working for or with leading lenders and lead aggregators (e.g. LendingTree, Avant, SoFi, CreditKarma, Upstart, etc.).
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience leading product or cross-functional teams, with demonstrated knowledge of UX/UI design best practices and industry trends.
  • Strong industry knowledge, including business operations, regulatory impacts, marketing, and affiliates.
  • Proven experience in successfully collaborating with engineering teams on product development.
  • Ability to be forward thinking in solving business challenges and goals using a technology-first approach to make experiences more efficient and streamlined.
  • Experience managing large, complex, and/or multiple projects with tight deadlines and interdependencies, with the ability to drive alignment and execution across groups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning and prioritizing projects that align with organizational goals, identifying opportunities for growth, and driving innovation.
  • Capable of anticipating challenges, managing resources effectively, and adapting strategies to stay aligned with evolving business priorities.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with vendors and all levels of company staff.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills to coordinate efforts across multiple teams and drive them to a successful conclusion.
  • Ability to communicate all aspects of business needs and translate them into clear, specific, and actionable processes for technical teams.
  • Innovative thinking, providing adaptive and resourceful solutions to tasks, projects, and problems.
  • Execute work in a fast-paced, competing priority, high volume, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong business aptitude and a positive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with creative and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience with Agile or Lean methodologies for managing projects and product development.
  • Experience with bank partnership lending practices and opportunities.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Compensation: $169,623-$222,403 (commensurate with experience) + Bonus
