Overview Bayview seeks to recruit a proven leader to manage and build a non-traditional de novo real estate brokerage business as part of the Company's broader real estate strategy. With over two million active customers in its mortgage servicing portfolio, Bayview seeks to provide brokerage services to existing customers as their real estate transactional needs evolve - including sales and purchases. In building its brokerage business, the Firm aims to leverage its data and analytic infrastructure, its mortgage and consumer credit expertise, and its operational capabilities to build a well-functioning competitive brokerage platform. The Head of Real Estate Brokerage will be responsible for defining and executing a brokerage business plan, establishing an infrastructure, and assembling a skilled team of internal and external partners to drive the overall execution of the plan. This includes marketing Bayview's newly established brokerage business to existing clients in the servicing portfolio, and potentially expanding to de novo customers in the future. Consistent with Bayview's culture, this business will be built in collaboration with other related teams at the Company. The successful candidate will operate as a player/coach and will be hands-on and aligned with the needs of the team and the broader organization. Responsibilities
  • In partnership with Bayview's leadership team, determine the business plan for the real estate brokerage business and execute against that plan with the overall goal of maintaining ongoing customer relationships and driving growth and profitability for the Firm. Leverage strong knowledge and understanding of industry trends, firm strengths, key drivers of value creation, and financial, operational, strategic, and commercial issues pertaining to the industry.
  • Recruit a knowledgeable, high-performing team, ensuring that the team has the requisite brokerage licensures to operate in key states as the business broadens geographically.
  • Prioritize key initiatives with the goal of quickly scaling the business while creating a platform positioned for long-term success. Continuously identify opportunities to improve offerings and services for the customer base in order to enable Bayview to differentiate itself in a highly competitive real estate brokerage market. Monitor companies, technologies, and talent that are crafting unique strategies in the real estate brokerage market. Develop a perspective on Bayview can best take advantage of emerging trends in the industry.
  • Partner with other functional teams within Bayview to ensure sound financial and operating processes and guidelines.
  • Develop a brokerage marketing strategy, including the customer value proposition, by using sophisticated analytical tools to segment the existing servicing customer base and identifying those who would benefit from Bayview's brokerage capability. Build awareness of the Bayview brand in real estate brokerage through a variety of tactics, with a particular focus on digital channels. Set objectives for key performance indicators and measure all activities vs. those objectives. Develop insights, provide ongoing reporting, and use test-and-learn approaches to new initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships across Bayview as well as with key industry constituents.
Qualifications EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Real estate brokerage experience
  • Deep knowledge of various real estate brokerage business models, with breadth of experience across disciplines (i.e., customer acquisition, operations).
  • Experience successfully operating within a recognized organization in the real estate brokerage industry.
  • Ideally, a current real estate brokerage license with multiple state licenses a plus.
Leadership experience
  • Proven leadership experience, with strong operational skills and breadth across most/all aspects of the brokerage business.
  • Track record of building, hiring and leading high-performing teams.
Track record of partnering with a broad range of internal and external constituents
  • An operator who contributes in a constructive, cooperative, and helpful manner and works collaboratively with members of senior management, colleagues, and external partners.
Educational pedigree
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or another related field. An M.B.A from a top-tier program is strongly preferred.

  • Partnering with the Firm's leaders to develop and inform perspectives on where the Firm can best differentiate itself in real estate brokerage.
  • Developing and synthesizing a high-level strategic assessment of the real estate brokerage business, using consumer insight data and customer segmentation to create a real estate brokerage plan for Bayview.
  • Developing hypotheses or alternative scenarios of how the real estate brokerage business will evolve in the coming years.
  • Adopting a long-term perspective on the business.
Driving Results In delivering on Bayview's goal of building a real estate brokerage business to capture opportunities from its existing customer base through an innovative platform with unique services and a differentiated digital and customer experience, the Head of Real Estate Brokerage will need to:
  • Develop and execute a strategy with the overall goal of building relationships with existing customers and driving growth and profitability for the business.
  • Demonstrate urgency about reaching business objectives.
  • Set continually higher goals that are ambitious but realistic and geared to the Firm's overall objectives.
