Swim Team (Multiple Branches) - Capital District YMCA : Job Details

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Assists the swim coach in building and maintaining a successful YMCA Swim Team. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting swim practices and meets which abide by all applicable guidelines.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL AQUATIC POSITIONS

* AGE RESTRICTION: Minimum age of 16 years old.

* TESTING: Be able to pass a CDYMCA swim test, administered by the Aquatics Director or designated individual.

* CERTIFICATIONS: Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid

* SKILLS: Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

ASSISTANT SWIM COACH - $16.85 PER HOUR - ASSISTS WITH SWIM TEAM

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S): NYS Working Papers (Under 18 yrs old), and VALID aquatic certifications.

* Minimum age of 16 years.

* Minimum of three years of experience in all levels of competitive swim participation at the scholastic, collegiate or club level.

* Previous swim team coaching experience required.

* Experience with Meet and Team Manager Software is preferred.

* Basic computer skills required.

* Current aquatic certifications (YMCA or American Red Cross).
