As an Applications and Systems Administrator at NNL, you serve as the technical lead for delivering Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) applications that support a variety of internal lines of business customers. Your understanding of servers, networking, database, application administration, scripting, cybersecurity, and system architecture will come in handy as you set up, configure, monitor, and maintain the servers supporting COTS applications. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.Preferred Skills Previous experience providing user support and system administration of COTS applications such as SharePoint. Demonstrated experience in software programming, troubleshooting and problem resolution in one or more of C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, SQL, or other related application development environments or languages. Demonstrated ability in both verbal and written forms of communication with colleagues in a teaming environment. Broad knowledge of infrastructure (network and servers), services and security policies. Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Ability to work on multiple task assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy on all work efforts. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations.
