ECS is seeking a System Administrator (HPC) (Junior) to work in our Morgantown, WV office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. ECS is seeking a qualified System Administrator (HPC) (Junior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy. The right candidate must be a skilled technician with knowledge to support a variety of technologies and software. Exceptional customer service skills, with technical knowledge of the architecture is preferred. . You will be expected to work with minimal supervision to provide on-site system administrator and operations support. This position will require that you troubleshoot and diagnose system issues to provide rapid remediation. Routinely interact with corporate stakeholders and others to communicate status, problems, and progress-update the documentation to maintain relevance and applicability. Support continuous security monitoring, including participation in activities to maintain appropriate security posture and perform package updates. Identify areas of potential efficiency improvement to include the development of automated routines. Troubleshoot performance degradation. Engage in actively learning, deploying, and maintaining new technologies. Job requirements to include:

  • Management of the Active Directory environment, including:
    • User management
    • Printer management
    • Device management
    • Group policy
  • Tier 3 level support for ticket escalation, to include remote support and troubleshooting investigation
  • Intermediate or higher level Powershell scripting skills
  • Assess the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows Server systems.
  • Install and upgrade Windows system and servers.
  • Discuss system and server upgrades with project management.
  • Review system error logs and user-reported errors/issues.
  • Perform daily system health monitoring.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
OR
  • Associate's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field AND two years of related work experience
OR
  • Four years of related work experience
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
