Job Description: We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with expertise in VMware and server virtualization to support the consolidation and decommissioning efforts at our client's site. This role will primarily focus on reducing the hardware footprint of the data center by migrating physical servers to virtual environments and consolidating existing virtual machines (VMs). Responsibilities:

• Consolidate KJMC's data center by reducing the number of physical and virtual servers.
• Decommission physical and virtual servers that are no longer in use.
• Migrate physical servers to virtual machines (VMware).
• Optimize and consolidate VMs onto hosts with larger resource pools.
• Manage storage arrays and ensure efficient data migration and storage usage.
• Coordinate with internal teams for system archiving and application decommissioning as needed.

• 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Proven experience with VMware, server virtualization, and migration from physical to virtual environments.
• Strong knowledge of storage arrays and consolidation techniques.
• Experience with data center optimization and server decommissioning.

• Experience in managing and consolidating large-scale virtual infrastructures.
• Knowledge of best practices for server and data center optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
