System Administrator/ Analyst
This position will work closely with the CFO in maintaining and enhancing system interfaces with the ERP system. The position will provide the necessary Tier 1 level support within the organization on both hardware and software and work as liaison when issue is elevated to Tier 2 support.
Essential Functions
Tier I support items would include assisting with user device support as ‘first responder' role to include such items as:
- Device not responding to user input (froze)
- Device not connected to internet
- Paper jam on copier/scanner
- No internet connection
- Swap out old devices for new ones; contact Silverline for final setup
- Process not responding or locked
- Missing information not found on systems; evaluating potential cause
The System Administrator/Analyst role will also be the liaison on all Tier II level support issues within the organization on both hardware and software.
Analyst responsibility for the tasks below for Tier II support calls:
- Respond to organization user requests; gather critical information on the issue to supply Tier II support technicians.
- Research the issue to determine if actual system issue or improper user practice.
If improper user practice; educate on correct practice.If system issue, provide concise writeup to external support to help support efficient resolution.- Work with outside support technician on resolution to reported issue; report back to user on resolution.
- Record case ID for call and track case through entire process until close; record resolution.
- Follow up with vendor on support calls if no response within 48 hours from submission date.
Other Task/Responsibilities of Analyst:
- Prepare and maintain documentation of all internal processes (SOPs).
- Activate/Inactive users as they come on and leave the company; work with external vendors as needed.
- Research and purchase necessary computer hardware for organization. (PCs, printers, batteries, cables, etc.)
- Report writing and analysis using queries based on user requests Insight Software-SQL Database.
- Provide summary report of activities and events during weekly staff meeting with CFO.
- Maintain inventory list of all IT related devices by user includes device description, in-service date, and location.
- Verify and approve all vendor invoices and send to AP for payment.
- Maintain log of open support cases with outside support vendor
- Special projects as assigned as necessary.
