BAM Enterprises, Inc. encompasses NRD LLC and Motor Components LLC within its operations. We attributes much of our success to our robust IT infrastructure and we are currently upgrading our IT systems, policies, and procedures. To support these efforts, we are hiring a full time onsite System Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
The System Administrator will lead the IT team and oversee the management and maintenance of key assets, including the network, hardware, software, storage, and backup systems across our multiple locations. Additionally, the System Administrator will collaborate with BAM's third-party vendor to improve and maintain security. Under the CEO's guidance, the System Administrator will also lead various projects, such as cloud migration and system enhancements, to advance the company's initiatives.
Essential Function
- Lead and manage the IT Staff
- Develop and maintain key IT operations, such as operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and virtualization, ensuring a functional, reliable, and secure network with necessary redundancies.
- Develop and maintain the internal infrastructure to ensure organizational stability, including system security, updates, servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Develop and manage user/group administration, security permissions, and ensure proper synchronization of system architecture and its components.
- Manage relationships with IT-related third-party vendors
- Collaborate with third-party providers to enhance internal physical security systems, including cameras and devices.
- Install and upgrade critical system components and software, manage virtual servers, and implement automation where possible.
- Maintain logs for updates, patching, antivirus definitions, hardware inventory, software, licenses, and critical IT supplies.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document issues and resolutions, prioritize problems, and assess their impact.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to support planning and implementation of IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop and maintain company-wide IT policies and procedures with the CEO, ensuring documentation is updated annually.
- Perform regular backups and establish processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover.
- Assist IT staff in resolving desktop, workstation, and equipment issues promptly with minimal disruption.
- Oversee capacity planning, storage management, and database optimization, such as for Microsoft SQL Server.

You Must Have
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system administration, cybersecurity, or a closely related field (e.g., engineering or mathematics) is required.
- 3 years of network administration experience.
- 2 years of system administration experience
- Candidates with an associate's degree, advanced certifications, and at least five (5) years of experience will also be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server and virtualization.
- In-depth understanding of LAN, WAN, internet architecture, data circuits, networking, routers, switches, and firewalls, including expert knowledge of systems, software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Relevant certifications in system administration and network-related fields, such as Microsoft or VMware (Broadcom).
- Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools. SQL experience is a plus.
- Willing to travel to other company locations as needed
