Job Description: Responsibilities:
  • Serve as subject matter expert on IBM MQ/IIB/ACE/MQ MFT/MuleSoft, includes technical assistance to application developers on Middleware related problems.
  • Understand technology vision and strategic direction of business needs.
  • Production support 24/7 for a week, at least once a month.
  • ssess and make recommendations of best-practice solutions and/or new middleware and web technologies that will enhance the capabilities of the existing infrastructure.
  • Participate product roadmaps in alignment with other middleware/cloud products and business roadmaps.
  • Participate in designing integrated solutions with design patterns, blueprints, guidelines, and standard methodologies for products.
  • ssist in developing architecture and design conceptual solutions by incorporating cloud native and 3rd party vendor products.
  • Participate in research and perform POCs (proofs of concept) with emerging technologies and adopt industry best practices, in the middleware space, for cloud migration and hybrid solutions.
  • Successfully troubleshoot production issues application developers can't resolve; may include writing build and deployment scripts.
  • Demonstrate automation as Infrastructure as code (IaC) to increase build efficiency in the cloud.
  • Support both rehydration and HA along with emerging processes and technologies.
  • ssist the development of validation and certification processes through automation tools.
  • Monitoring - monitor middleware performance and availability.
  • Demonstrate collaboration on projects and initiatives as a team member.
  • Demonstrates mutual respect, embraces diversity, and acts with authenticity.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in IBM Middleware products like MQ/IIB/ACE/MQ MFT and Mule Soft.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in design/support of MQ/IIB/ACE Middleware solutions.
  • Experience in cloud specific solutions related to middleware.
  • Hands on experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
  • Experience with other AWS middleware solutions including various compute and storage offerings.
  • Strong background in observability, networking, performance, and scalability.
  • Experience with leveraging CI/CD pipelines and GitLab is a plus.
  • Hands on experience in Terraform, Python, Ansible and OS shell scripts including automation tools is a plus.
  • Must be familiar with Agile methodologies and able to work in an Agile manner.
  • Must have a very strong application development background.
  • Microservices experience is a plus.
  • Cloud Certification is a plus.
  • Containerized platform experience is a plus.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience is a plus.
