Looking for a lifetime career? Apply today!Job Description The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), is seeking a skilled and motivated ServiceNow System Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our ServiceNow platform, ensuring its smooth performance, security, and seamless integration with other IT systems. As a key member of the IT Service Management Solutions team, you will manage the platform, configure and deploy applications, perform upgrades, and support third-party tool integrations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our ServiceNow environment effectively supports business processes and enhances operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage the performance of the ServiceNow instances, including data integrity and security. Perform regular platform updates, patches, and upgrades in collaboration with the development and operations stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow functionality/ integrations and provide technical support for users experiencing issues. Manage and support ServiceNow's underlying infrastructure, including servers, database systems, and cloud services (e.g., Azure). Oversee the integration of ServiceNow with third-party applications and systems, including LDAP, Active Directory, and other IT tools/systems. Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles. Ensure the security of the ServiceNow instances by managing user roles, permissions, access controls, and other security best practices (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guides).Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Preferred Skills Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers (cloud & on-premises, Windows & Linux), databases (e.g., MariaDB), and network environments. Experience with identity and access management (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP, Single Sign-On). Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications and enterprise systems. Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues related to functionality, performance, and integrations - ability to analyze and solve complex infrastructure issues Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
