Temporary Project Appointment 6-12 months POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Partner with UW Medicine management to pursue opportunities for reduction of expenses in equipment, supplies, and service areas for all aspects of the supply chain
Manages assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts, annual physical counts, requisitioning replenishments, seeking alternative sources and materials when necessary, maintaining communication with supported customers, monitoring supplies usage, and removing and disposing of obsolete or outdated products
Organize and lead staff in conducting periodic inventory counts, adjusts quantities and locations, when necessary, and records and reports discrepancies to management DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine Supply Chain's objective is to ensure our patient care experience is enhanced by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. This includes a primary focus on customer service, as well as maintaining appropriate levels of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout each facility. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize multiple projects and schedules to meet demand and shifting priorities
Assist in the implementation of system-wide collaborative systems and structures utilizing the distribution partner as the primary utility to improve inventory turns and reduce facility redundancies in supply logistic and warehouse operations
Ensure system compliance for Joint Commission Accreditation and other regulatory bodies for storage and delivery of supplies as well as recalled or suspended inventory products.
Apply correct cycle count and other standard operations procedures
Analyze product usage and adjust inventory levels as appropriate to optimize inventory levels at the entity
Perform causative research and reconciliation prior to preparing reports
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of automated point-of-use (POU) systems (Intellishelf, SpaceTrax Pyxis, etc.)
Demonstrate strong leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to lead successful teams of individuals, motivate project participants, and communicate effectively at all levels across the system.
Provide day-to-day accountability for supply inventories, monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing
Utilize standardized system-wide dashboard analytics to measure inventory levels, ensure proper inventory controls and other supply chain operations key measures of performance to ensure they are measured and monitored, and goals are met
Maintain current Materials Management Information System supplies database in conjunction with System Supply Chain Management database management teams. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business or Logistics/Supply Chain Management and two years of Supply Chain Management or Finance experience.
