Job Title: System Operations & Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
This support role within the systems operations group is the intermediary between design, engineering, and GIS to construction & maintenance. The purpose of this role is to ensure engineered projects are built safely, accurately, and in the correct order. Ensure consistent design standards are occurring throughout the engineering department as well as communication on standard processes and changes. The individual in this role creates switching directions, updates equipment identification databases, and coordinates preventative maintenance activities. Collaborates with line crews, design, and other operations staff to provide safe and reliable electrical service to our members. Document records in asset databases. Create and coordinate switching instructions, clearance tags, and procedures for planned and emergency situations. Create and maintain distribution apparatus and equipment records. Work closely with Distribution Design and Geographic Information System (GIS) departments to maintain the GIS database. Operate enterprise-wide computer applications, such as Geographical Information System, Outage Management, Work Management System, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Coordinate periodic preventative maintenance activities to assure that critical equipment is maintained and in service when needed.
Hard Skills
+ HS diploma
+ Associates in Electrical Construction or Bachelors degree in related field - electrical, electronics, and/or construction technology or equivalent
+ 5 recent years progressive experience in utility engineering, design, staking, operations, or design support

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Ramsey, Minnesota and some days remote.
