Security Effects is seeking a motivated System Testing and Evaluation Specialist (Test Engineer) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have either have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field and proven experience in system testing, software quality assurance, or related roles. The System Testing and Evaluation Specialist, also known as a Test Engineer, plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems through comprehensive testing and evaluation processes. This position involves designing, executing, and analyzing tests to identify defects, assess system performance, and validate functionality. The Test Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, project managers, and quality assurance professionals to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements.One of our clients in Oak ridge, Tennesee needs a System Testing and Evaluation Specialist (Test Engineer) for a proposal position.

Job Description :

• Develop test plans, strategies, and methodologies based on project requirements and specifications.
• Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for system testing and evaluation activities.
• Design and create test cases, scripts, and scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
• Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and environments.
• Identify, isolate, and document defects, and track them to resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Continuously improve test automation infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze test results, trends, and metrics to assess system quality and performance.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and address identified issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of testing activities with project timelines and goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and risks..

Required Expertise and Experience :-

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in system testing, software quality assurance, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualification :-

• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester).
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
• Experience with testing mobile applications and/or web services.
