Systems Administrator III - County of York Virginia : Job Details

Under limited supervision, performs professional work assisting in the operation and support of the Countys wide area network. Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Uses experience and judgement to identify, plan, and accomplish goals to better the Countys IT environment. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Assembles and troubleshoots computers, servers, network switches, ancillary equipment and software to sustain service level requirements to County organizations.
