Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board Why you'll love this job This position is a member of the IT Enterprise Programs Team that is within the Regional and Sales IT Division at American Airlines This position will be responsible for performing IT support for the three wholly owned American Eagle Operational Control Centers. This position will oversee IT initiatives and support activities in the control centers to deliver services and solutions that meet the overall strategic regional IT business objectives for the American Eagle wholly owned carriers of American Airlines. The primary focus is maintaining the operational control centers systems that run the airline for dispatch, crew scheduling and maintenance. The primary role of the Operational Control Center Senior Systems Analyst is to deliver end-user support to the business units in the Operational Control Centers. This role will assist users to utilize software programs efficiently and effectively in order to fulfill business objectives. Duties include troubleshooting software for all internal customers as well as leading the improvement of the Operational Control Centers experience with regard to IT Operations applications. Participate in the support of existing and future applications. Gain in-depth knowledge of required software applications to support the Operational Control Centers. Assists with Operational Control Center software upgrades and implementations by reviewing documentation, testing, and coordinating with the development team and business units. Ownership of documented IT processes and departmental guidance on business/systems analyst best practices. Communicates application issues to key stakeholders - including management, development teams, end users, and vendors Partner with business units to determine project priorities, business case justifications, and to clarify and communicate business needs Provide operational support/troubleshooting during a weekly after hours on-call rotation for the American Eagle Operational Control Centers Support monthly server patching Participate in supporting ongoing disaster recovery initiatives Assist with maintaining remote desktop farms All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience 2 years of experience supporting complex airline business applications in a large enterprise environment Experience in troubleshooting complex computer systems/problems; strong troubleshooting skills 2 years airline experience supporting a Regional Airline Operations systems Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills in a hybrid 2 work days from home environment Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelors degree in a related IT field Airline Dispatcher License/Crew Scheduling Leadership Proficient with existing IT systems that impact American Eagle Airlines 5 years of proven experience in Regional IT Airline operations CAE SME in Ops systems used in the American Eagle Operational Control Centers Experience in large implementations of Ops systems in the Operational Control Centers 2 years of experience supporting complex business applications in a large enterprise environment as per DevOps principles in an Agile environment Training in appropriate monitoring & alerting and environmental support to ensure a fault tolerant, reliable and highly available environment Skills, Licenses & Certifications Advanced understanding of business systems and industry requirements, and full technical knowledge of systems analysis Experience with application administration, systems support, or development preferred Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices, with a can-do attitude What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
