Responsibilities1st Shift - 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday - Every other Friday 8 hour shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM9-hour Shift - 2 (15-minute) breaks and 30-minute unpaid lunchStarting Pay - $28.31/hr Level I and consideration up to Level III depending upon experience***Preferred candidate identified***
  • Assemble and wire custom system products and control cabinets, in accordance with detailed electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Responsible for start to finish custom assembly and wiring of integrated fire and gas detection systems.
  • Provide support to Factory Acceptance Testing, including unit hook-up, testing support and trouble-shooting assistance.
  • Participate in field start-up assignments in the local area where technician will provide calibration services and/or start-up services
  • Checking, inspection and receipt of materials from vendors, includes maintenance of stock room.
  • Preparation of materials for shipment, including packing, applying special markings etc.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
  • Adhere to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong ability to assemble wire custom systems and control cabinets.
  • Ability to understand and interpret detailed electrical schematics, mechanical layout drawings and termination diagrams used in fabrication of control cabinets.
  • Solid problem solving skills, with the ability to identify assembly problems, wiring mistakes and configuration errors and interface on those issues with the engineering team.
  • Ability to perform standard software operations including UPS.
  • Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to use power and hand tools, custom tooling.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and prioritize and organize work.
  • Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
  • Ability to interface seamlessly with engineering staff in order to resolve problems and clarify technical issues that pertain to fabrication and wiring.
  • Detailed-oriented and committed to developing robust, durable fire and gas solutions.
  • Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
Education and Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with NEC and IEC wiring standards and good wiring practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics and electrical assembly.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Electronics certification.
  • SAP experience.
