This Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting and repairing network and systems infrastructure solutions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide operational management and support for complex IT infrastructures, serving as primary engineering contact on some projects.
- Administer Microsoft Servers running SQL Server 2016-2022, Windows Server 2016/2022, Netapp and Nimble Storage Arrays, and Virtual environments (VMWare, Hyperv, and Citrix).
- Manage, support, and maintain Windows 2016 Active Directory Services.
- Install and troubleshoot new servers, network equipment, and workstation software and hardware.
- Identify and resolve network and related system performance problems.
- Perform troubleshooting activities on production servers off-hours (nights or weekends) if required to minimize impact to operations.
- Perform hardware upgrades and installations.
- Administer any technological duties associated with Azure cloud computing, including design, planning, management, maintenance, and support.
- Establish backup and recovery procedures for network-based systems.
- Actively participate in planning, coordinating, and implementing Windows operating systems and applications.
- Work with IT management to maintain, document and train on best practices configurations for Windows environments.
- Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for the purchase of products and services.
- Interface with external vendors as necessary. Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline a plus. MCSE, CCA and CCNA certifications preferred.
- Minimum three years experience with server, network, storage and virtualization, implementation, and troubleshooting required.
- Minimum three years experience with MS Server 2016-2022, Active Directory, Storage Area Networks, and Network Attached Storage, Backup and Recovery Software (preferably Commvault), and MS Office Professional including Visio required.
- Experience with SQL 2014, SQL 2016, 2019, MS IIS, MS Dynamic , Citrix - XenServer / Xenapp / XenDesktop, VMware - Vsphere 6, UNIX exposure (Linux, or Sun, IBM, HP UX, SCO), Virus Protection Software, Palo Alto Firewall Management, Routers and Switches (preferably Juniper & Cisco), Remote Access Solutions (Bomgar, Webex, etc.), and Mobile Device Management, and support of iOS Devices with MS Intune/Mobile Aruba Wireless strongly preferred.

- Computer networking knowledge and experience in computer network architecture and implementation including network operating systems, network storage design, and directory services preferred.
- Network infrastructure knowledge and experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure technologies and implementation strategies.
- Network infrastructure Administration: Cisco routers, switches, and VPN concentrators, Palo Alto Firewall Content Filters, SolarWinds, Microsoft Systems Center.
- Microsoft Windows experience including system design, implementation, and management.
- Ability to relay technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to travel to branch premises on an as-needed basis.
- Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions, and training facilities may be required.
- This position has a sliding shift, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. as projects demand. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.
- A rotating Saturday once every 6-8 weeks is required 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
