Job Description & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Systems Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on managing and optimizing our virtual server infrastructure across AWS, VMware Data Center, and Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with virtualization, networking, and system administration, as well as expertise in modern conferencing systems and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

Virtual Server Management

• Administer and optimize virtual server environments in AWS, VMware Data Center, and Azure
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot virtualization solutions to ensure high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet application and system requirements in virtualized environments

Network and Security Administration

• Configure and maintain site-to-site VPNs, Fortinet firewalls, and Aruba switches
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance
• Ensure robust security practices and compliance across the network infrastructure

Wireless Network Management

• Deploy and manage Aruba Access Points to ensure reliable wireless connectivity
• Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network issues proactively

Systems Administration

• Manage Ubuntu/Linux and Windows servers, ensuring system stability, security, and performance
• Perform regular updates, patching, and system maintenance

Conferencing System Support

• Monitor and manage Logitech, Zoom Rooms, and Microsoft Teams conferencing systems
• Ensure seamless operation of conference room setups, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support

Physical Network Infrastructure

• Perform hands-on network tasks such as patching network cords and maintaining cable organization
• Support office setups, including internet troubleshooting and hardware configurations

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proficiency in administering Ubuntu/Linux and Windows Server environments
• Proven track record of supporting modern conferencing systems such as Logitech, Zoom Rooms, and Microsoft Teams
• Familiarity with network cabling and patching
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Citrix Certified Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.) are a plus
• 5 years of experience in managing a data center with the above technologies
• Strong understanding of applied statistics and the ability to code systems that identify outlier behavior in large systems
• Some experience with container and container orchestration technologies (Docker / Kubernetes) is plus

Preferred:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent
• Experience with hybrid cloud integration and scaling infrastructure
• Knowledge of advanced network protocols and security best practices
