SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the organization's network systems, including operating system migrations, infrastructure redesigns, performance tuning and documentation. Also responsible for specialty areas such as Network Server and SAN administration, Active Directory Infrastructure, Virtual Environments (VMWare), Network Security and Microsoft Exchange administration, and system backups.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Manages projects on various hardware and software installations for the organization.Analyzes the design, development, and implementation of various hardware and software products and evaluates new products and services before presenting to senior management.Performs technology infrastructure assessments and analysis. Develops documentation and recommendations for the entire organization.Installs selected software and hardware, maintaining proper security levels and access rights.Conducts and maintains inventory of all AD, Windows, Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server components and maintains accurate records by updating information as needed.Designs AD Architecture and DNS, Schema guidance, Migration Planning and Deployment for the organization.Administers and maintains the Microsoft Exchange EnvironmentAdministers and maintains the network server, SAN, VMWare, and VMWare View environments throughout the enterprise.Maintains a working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop and Network Operating Systems, and Office products in order to perform job effectivelyManages enterprise storage environment, and reports on analysis data for performance. Conducts disk to disk backups of all critical systems and ensures secured off-site copies are made.Facilitates the enterprise disaster recovery plan is maintained and tested thoroughly. Oversees system replication and disaster recovery capabilities, and coordinates professional services ensuring organizational survivability.Administers various Internet and Internal Network security solutions for the organization.Implements and supports wireless LAN technologies for the organization.Assists in the installation, performance and maintenance for LAN/WAN infrastructure for the entire organization.Assists in the design and implementation of TCP/IP address schemes and VoIP QoS solutions for the organization.Ensures the organizations' systems operations quality by communicating with all levels of users and management while offering direction and assistance as needed.Coordinates workflow to ensure effective overall operations with the I.T. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Technical degree from a two-year college, Associates degree, Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in maintaining and supporting network operating systems, preferably in a casino environment. Must possess superior computer skills and be proficient in a variety of software applications currently in use by the Company, with the ability to learn other applications to supplement the support side of the position. Knowledge of Local and Wide Area Networking and data communications principles, advanced process analysis, testing, troubleshooting and problem solving. Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCNA), Microsoft Certifications (MCSE, MCP), VMWare, Security Certifications or equivalent certifications in relevant programs are preferred.This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:Must be well organized, with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and keep management apprised of any issues that might affect deadlines. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions and manuals. Must be able to communicate effectively with all members of the Information Technology team. Must have the ability to communicate technical issues to individuals with varying degrees of computer familiarity throughout the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to correctly apply the principles of Boolean Algebra, and add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply fault isolation techniques to a variety of situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
