We're eager to get acquainted.We are seeking a Systems Engineer, Product Owner to join our rapidly expanding engineering team. The ideal Systems Engineer is a motivated, professional who understands the critical role of transforming a product's vision into a detailed technical plan, that give a clear roadmap for all team members. This position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders and system users to understand and address challenges to enhance system performance and organizational effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:
- Translate the product vision from the Program Manager into a detailed technical plan, creating documentation and technical artifacts to guide development.
- Communicate the product vision to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across all teams.
- Create, refine, and prioritize product backlog items to align with project goals and stakeholder needs.
- Make the backlog visible, transparent, and accessible to all team members and stakeholders.
- Develop a clear roadmap for the component, identifying necessary initiatives and epics to meet established milestones.
- Work with other Component Owners and utilize tools like APT to manage resources and adapt to changing priorities.
- Serve as a primary contact alongside the Program Manager to gather requirements and feedback from stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholder needs are met through effective communication and collaboration.
- Balance scope, budget, and time constraints to prioritize tasks, delivering the most valuable features first.
- Set acceptance criteria for product backlog items and validate the development team's work to ensure it meets defined standards.
- Decide on the timing and content of releases, working closely with the team to ensure successful software delivery.
- Act as the Lead Systems Engineer for the component, documenting the technical baseline and architecture to support the boards and reviews across the organization.
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is ideal.
- Proven experience in software development and technical project management is essential.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key to success in this role.
Required Education: 6+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is ideal.Staff Systems EngineerSalary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $130,000 - $146,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work, skills, certifications, and geographic location.Required Education: 6+ years of systems engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Principal Systems EngineerSalary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work, skills, certifications, and geographic location.Required Education: 12+ years of software development with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
