- Management and monitoring of all installed systems and infrastructure; installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools; and ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and performance.
- Software development, engineering to include technical requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- Measuring performance and tuning applications in a cloud environment to meet performance requirements.
- Software integration and testing to include developing and implementing test plans and automated test scripts.
- Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.
- Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations.
- Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately.
- Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures.
- Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.
- Performs work under minimal supervision.
- Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- May act as lead.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of ten (10) years of supporting system design, development, implementation, and operations of systems
- A minimum of six (6) years of system engineering
- A minimum of two (2) years of engineering in an off-premises cloud environment.
- Secret Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with system engineering with hybrid systems with one component in an off-premises cloud
- Prior work experience with the Federal Government
- Prior work experience with either Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
- Familiarity with Agile development
