Job CategoryPosition Summary Manages and coordinates MIS/IT department and company systems, including host servers, computer network activities, and company systems.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
- Assists with establishing and maintaining network users, user environment, directories, and security.
- Remains abreast of changes in user and systems software and hardware requirements.
- Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up-to-date in a network log.
- Updates the operating and telephone systems as required.
- Loads and updates software applications as required.
- Responsible for maintaining backups of all server files, security, and rights.
- Consults with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems or enhance business usage of server systems and software.
- Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing equipment.
- Evaluates proposed data processing projects to assess the adequacy of existing hardware, and recommends purchase of equipment.
- Manages training and trains employees to operate computer and peripheral equipment and software programs.
- Assists in developing and providing training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Prepares annual departmental budgets and manage expenses.
- Reviews and recommends changes in programs, routines, and quality control standards to improve computer operating efficiency.
- Consults with department heads about problems such as equipment performance, output quality, and maintenance schedule.
- Plans and develops policies and procedures for carrying out computer operations.
- Makes recommendations to management whether equipment should be repaired or replaced, or additional equipment be installed.
- Contacts vendors to arrange for bids for lease or purchase of server equipment.
- Makes recommendations for improvement or additions to communication facilities.
- Assist with upgrades and support to ERP software for increased process efficiency and transparency.
- Analyze all current business functions to identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Perform project management duties to control all phases of project lifecycles.
- Manage improvement projects from conception to execution to ensure on time, on budget with mitigated risk.
- Ensure user acceptance testing meets all department and cross-department requirements.
- Partner with enterprise operations to reinforce consistent process execution.
- Oversee creation of custom reports and all BI reporting initiatives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS, SKILLS, and ABILITIES - Minimum of 3 Years ERP Software Support - SAP ByDesign is ideal.
- Experience with Tableau interface and reporting
- Proficient in software upgrades, small enhancement projects and new implementations.
- Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge/expertise on end-to-end business processes and software solution matching.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Process leader: able to manage own workload without supervision.
- Creative thinker with good problem-solving skills.
- PMI and Six Sigma certifications a plus.
- Programming experience in any language a plus.
- Microsoft O365 System Administration Experience and working knowledge of the suite of tools. (Excel, Teams, One Drive, Outlook, etc.)
- Microsoft Azure, Intune Endpoint Manager, Defender, SharePoint, Exchange
- VMWare ESXi 6.7 System Experience
- WatchGuard Firewall System Configuration/Management Experience
- Network Switches/ Router / WAP Configuration Experience and Security

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B. S.) from four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough understanding of ERP systems concepts and integration. Thorough understanding of virtualized environment concepts and implementation. Thorough understanding of network topologies. Minimum five years supervisor experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts; such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
