Job Description :
Our well-established client is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to join their team in the Schoharie, NY area. This is a temp-to-hire position that involves designing, installing, and maintaining computer systems and networks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless functionality across various platforms. May be required to perform duties outside of regular business hours as necessary.This role involves designing, installing, and maintaining computer systems and networks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless functionality across various platforms. May be required to perform duties outside of regular business hours as necessary.Responsibilities of the Network and Systems Admin:* Install and maintain personal computers, local and wide area networks, and associated peripheral equipment.* Install and configure file servers, print servers, communication servers, network switches, personal computers, and network/desktop printers.* Install and test wiring, including fiber optic cables, ensuring proper connectivity.* Diagnose computer and network issues either on-site or through help desk staff and user telephone consultations.* Collaborate with vendors to configure and troubleshoot routers, circuits, and third-party software applications.* Upgrade computer systems and peripheral equipment as needed.* Perform maintenance on non-PC user interfaces such as KRONOS Time and Attendance keypads.* Assist in testing new operating systems and software for compatibility and functionality with existing systems.* Attend technical education seminars to stay informed on the latest trends in information technology.* Other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsQualifications for the Systems and Network Administrator:* Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in management information systems, computer science, information technology, or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience; Associate's Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of relevant experience.* Strong knowledge of modern personal computers and local and wide area networks.* Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining office computer systems and networks.* Ability to diagnose and resolve computer and network problems effectively.* Experience working with vendors to troubleshoot routers and third-party software applications.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow both written and oral instructions.Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.To see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit:redShift Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
