We work closely with physicians to solve problems for hard to source and hard to compound pharmaceuticals.Tailor Made Compounding is seeking a Tablet Press Operator for our growing team! The Tablet Press Operator will be responsible for working collaboratively with other technicians to make compounded tablet products requested under the supervision of the Lab Manager and Pharmacists. All tasks and duties must be completed in accordance and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures, USP guidelines, and SOPs for preparation of formulations
  • Take part in departmental meetings as well as participate in relevant educational programs
  • Daily documentation of refrigerator/freezer temperatures and cleaning procedures
  • Take inventory of all chemicals and lab supplies and send to Lab Manager on a weekly basis for confirmation and ordering
  • Complete weekly documentation and preparation of expired products and chemicals for destruction each month
  • Calibrate and properly document all compounding equipment daily
  • Compound specialized and complex non-sterile and hazardous therapies, using proper personal protective equipment to meet the specific need of an individual patient
  • Operate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot V-blender and tablet press according to policy and procedures
  • Accurately weigh/measure all ingredients to be used in the compounding procedure using the provided pharmaceutical formulation worksheet, analytical balances, and calibrated lab glassware
  • Assist the lab assistant with the completion of any required paperwork relating to compounding
  • Participate in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • At least 1 year running a tablet press is required
  • Strong math skills
  • Capable of working with small delicate analytical equipment
  • Capable of working with heavy machinery
  • Skill/experience in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Experience in operating standard office equipment
