SUMMARY: Responsible for executing all aspects of the recruitment cycle in sourcing the best talent for Heard, McElroy & Vestal, including job requisition development, candidate pipelining, sourcing, interviewing, negotiation, onboarding and candidate care as well as assisting in maintaining effective programs for engagement, retention, promotion and succession planning by performing the following duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees the Firm's talent acquisition and recruiting process, including administering an effective recruitment program and coordinating recruitment efforts with Firm leaders. Develops effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.
  • Manages and actively executes programs and activities to support on-campus recruiting strategies including: actively participating in Firm events and activities at universities, on-campus event planning and management, candidate identification and selection, candidate on-campus and in-office interview coordination, offer decision process, candidate care and communication throughout the recruitment process, internship and other early identification program development and execution, using social media to engage with prospective candidates and build the HMV brand, and utilization of recruitment systems in accordance with Firm standards to track and measure the process.
  • Builds a pipeline of candidates by maintaining contact and following up with prior candidates, potential candidates, and prior employees.
  • Recruits full-time, part-time, remote, temporary, and intern personnel by executing marketing strategies to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle. Manages the recruiting process and ensures an efficient hiring process.
  • Develops clear understanding of job requirements, education, skill, special needs for open position by reviewing job descriptions with hiring manager prior to job posting.
  • Posts for available positions, reviews candidates for minimum qualifications, performs telephone interviews, administers testing assessments and interviews, and assists with the final decision process.
  • Performs all screening, testing, background checks, and pre-employment requirements of applicants to meet the Firm's best practices and to identify a suitable pool of candidates to be interviewed.
  • Conducts and reviews required pre-employment credit and background screenings according to HMV standards.
  • Oversees the Firm's New Hire Orientation program by organizing and/or conducting orientation sessions and coordinating on-the-job training and mentor program to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Assists with creating a Leadership Academy program for college campus'/interns and responsible for executing all aspects of the program.
  • Works with the HR Director to initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce engagement, retention, career development and succession planning.
  • Assists HR Director with initiating a formal program to further develop HMV employees by putting ideas into formal leadership/career development program.
  • Through collaboration with Firm leaders, identifies anticipated training and assessment needs based on human resource initiatives, legal and regulatory changes, career development needs, and other factors.
  • Conducts training for Firm leaders on techniques and skills to manage and coach their employees.
  • Coordinates and assigns mandatory training across the organization.
  • Leads or assists with other Firm or Human Resources projects to enhance the overall talent acquisition and development strategy.
  • Stays abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field. Minimum three years' experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting and/or Development. Experience executing and supporting talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, and/or relationship management. Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting events and activities related to recruiting.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices. Experience with Recruiting/Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HRIS systems a plus. Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, clients and management. Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk or use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
