Job SummaryThe Talent Acquisition Manager provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to the talent acquisition department while managing applicable talent acquisition processes including but not limited to daily workflow, internal customer relations, external candidate relations, reporting, and department compliance.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for talent acquisition and encourage department-wide and company-wide collaboration to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordinate all talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Represent the company as a brand ambassador in all settings including but not limited to recruitment functions, interactions with colleges and universities, and within the office environment.
  • Manage recruitment-related vendor relationships including employment/staffing firms, job boards, advertising agencies, and other employment-related providers.
  • Develop and regularly report on key recruitment metrics to communicate current job statuses and identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the talent acquisition team by providing constructive and timely performance feedback/evaluations, handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy, and managing turnover and backfill of recruitment-related positions.
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as advertising programs, career fairs, on-line job fairs, employee referral programs, social media, community network events, etc.
  • Source and recruit for senior-level positions in various functional areas and assist with high volume customer service and customer care positions, helping to develop pipelines for applicable roles.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), make recommendations for hire (or not hire), and make offers of employment.
  • Communicate important employment information during delivery of contingent employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, etc.)
  • Complete pre-employment screening requirements including but not limited to references, background checks, and drug screening.
  • Manage internal transfer process including screening, coordination of interview with hiring managers, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on the interview process status and candidate satisfaction.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations including Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
  • Manage candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Assist with compensation-related research and recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • High school diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field a plus.
  • Five years of talent acquisition experience required.
  • Two years of management experience, specifically in talent acquisition, is preferred.
  • Technical recruiting experience a plus.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a plus.
  • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
Knowledge
  • Principles and practices of customer service.
  • Establish a good working relationship with team members and internal contacts in order to maintain and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided.
  • Professional attitude, enthusiastic, and reliable.
  • Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of current federal/state regulations related to employment (i.e. AAP, OFCCP etc.).
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, internet search engines and social media. Working knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment.
  • HRIS experience preferred.
