Position Title: Talent Acquisition Partner

*WEDC is a Wisconsin-based organization, with a remote-work first environment. Remote work is intended to be performed in the State of Wisconsin.

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for successfully sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees for WEDC, promoting WEDC's brand, recruitment, and diversity goals through recruitment initiativesand events. Working with the Human Resources Business Partner, the Talent Acquisition Partner will assist in ensuring that current employees are satisfied in their positions and help work with current employees and managers to map out professional growth plans to promote employee retention, development, and advancement.

Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Partner will:

  • Collaborate with business leaders and the HR Business Partner to identify talent needs.
  • Manage full cycle recruitment:
    • Actively and creatively recruit diverse, top talent through a variety of methods (networking, social media, onsite and offsite events, career fair attendance, etc.).
    • Personally conduct and coordinate all aspects and details of the selection process, to include interview scheduling, preparation, and distribution of offer letters, and initiating new hire communications throughout the organization.
    • Manage job postings and external outreach, using innovative methods to attract diverse and qualified talent.
    • Document all steps and procedures associated with process. Partner with team members as needed.
    • Work with HR Business Partner to develop and present compensation recommendations based on relevant internal and external data. Coordinate any salary negotiations with candidates in partnership with the hiring manager(s).
    • Manage applicant tracking.
    • Creation, distribution, and recording of selection materials, documenting staffing efforts while following federal and state record retention regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state recruitment regulations including EEOC and OFCCP.
    • Manage background checks and employment verifications, associated vendor relationships and documentation of activities.
    • Measure and track hiring metrics and use results to improve processes.
  • Promote the company's brand, values, and mission, while building pipelines of potential applicants and applicant sources.
  • Work with hiring managers to develop a process that balances the company needs with the candidate experience, incorporating assessment tools, group interviews, presentations, etc. as appropriate.
  • Work with hiring managers to meet the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring practices and goals.
  • Manage the procurement process for vendors applicable to recruitment and hiring (i.e. job postings, background checks, etc.).
  • Partner with HR Business Partner to ensure jobs in HRIS system are accurate and current, along with ensuring position descriptions in both HR SharePoint and the Hub (shared) SharePoint folders are current.
  • Partner with WEDC's Learning and Development Intern to coordinate and deliver new employee onboarding orientation.
  • Partner with HR Business Partner and hiring managers on succession planning.
  • Assist with career planning for all staff, identifying internal opportunities for growth and increasing staff retention.
  • Create tools for socializing internal interest and connecting staff to opportunities.
  • Be an active supporter and participant of the HR Team, fostering trust and communication with employees and managers.
  • Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing related projects and tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or combination of equivalent experience/education
  • Minimum of three or more years of full cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in diverse and creative recruiting preferred

Skills and Talents:

  • Ability to work with various and diverse groups of people.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Efficient and effective computer skills with Microsoft office suite of products, as well as HR technology and tools (to include applicant tracking systems).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with diverse groups of people internal and external to the organization.
  • Articulate and proficient telephone skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to independently organize work and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Autonomous self-starter with the ambition to learn, grow and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Other Requirements:

  • State-wide travel will occur on an occasional basis, less than 20% of the time. Travel is anticipated to include day travel.
  • Based on the responsibilities of this position, this position may need to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
