The HR Talent Acquisition Manager will be instrumental in driving our company's growth by aligning recruitment strategies with our organizational objectives, particularly across our real estate portfolio, which includes commercial, residential, hotel properties, as well as ongoing development and construction projects. This position, reporting to the firm's executives, will collaborate closely with the leadership team and is critical for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across both portfolio and corporate-level divisions of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Talent Acquisition Efforts: Oversee the sourcing, hiring, and onboarding of talent to fulfill staffing needs across all departments. This includes a range of positions from building-level staff, such as maintenance technicians and union workers, to corporate-level roles like accountants, asset managers, and marketing professionals, etc. Emphasis will be placed on identifying candidates with specialized real estate expertise to support both operational and strategic objectives across our diverse portfolio.
- Collaboration with Department Leads: Regularly check in with department heads to assess current hiring needs, aligning recruitment efforts with the latest performance metrics of existing employees and evolving company demands. This proactive approach ensures staffing aligns with organizational goals and workforce efficiency.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate and oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless transition for all employees. Work closely with current staff to streamline these transitions, providing consistent and efficient experience for new hires and departing employees alike.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and employment regulations by engaging in workshops, networking with professional organizations, and reviewing relevant publications.
Qualifications:
- Real Estate Experience Required: 3-5+ years of experience in HR recruiting and/or talent acquisition, with a background in real estate, including property management and/or construction, specifically within the New York market.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field preferred.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision, proactively providing updates to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met for filling organizational roles effectively and efficiently.
- Strong Employee Relations and Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in State and Federal employment laws across multiple states.
