Overview
This position location is flexible to work at be located at our Corporate Headquarters office in Ithaca, NY, or Batavia, NY, or Wyomissing, PA. Selected candidate must be able to work in the office three (3) days a week.
Tompkins is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with a focus on Insurance recruitment to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition team! In this key role, you will be responsible for executing the full life-cycle recruitment strategy to attract top insurance talent to our line of business. The ideal candidate will leverage strategic sourcing expertise and market awareness to shape how we attract, engage, and recruit top talent.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees to best match the requirements for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities across the Tompkins Financial organization.
Responsibilities
+ Consults with the Hiring Manager to understand & establish the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
+ Establish & implement internal and external recruiting process to source qualified candidates for openings which includes sourcing passive candidates via creative recruiting techniques.
+ Consults HRIS database to identify and select potential candidates for vacant positions.
+ Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
+ Participates in post-interview debrief/feedback and post-mortems with interview teams and candidates to ensure the selection of the best candidate.
+ Coordinates with the Hiring Manager post-interview to assess the need for additional interviews. If further interviews are necessary, collaborates with the Hiring Manager and the Employee Experiences (EEBP) to arrange the next steps.
+ Manages and coordinates post-screening communication with candidates through the offer and on-boarding process.
+ Checks candidates' references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
+ Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
+ Collaborates with the Hiring Manager, Comp Analyst & EEBP to establish salary recommendation based on internal equity, market data and candidate requirements.
+ Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities to promote opportunities, identify potential candidates for employment or internships.
+ In partnership with the affiliate's HR Business Partner, arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
+ Applies current marketing and sourcing strategies to develop innovative programs that attract top talent.
+ Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.

+ Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned by the Manager, Talent Acquisition.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
+ Four plus (4+) of full-life cycle corporate recruiting experience, with a track record of successfully identifying and engaging top talent in the Insurance industry is required.
+ Able to demonstrate critical thinking based on in-depth data, substantiating information, considering/respecting of other's input, personal values, and ethics.
+ Proficiency in utilizing various sourcing techniques, tools, and platforms; including Boolean search, market research, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media.
+ Current working experience that includes all aspects of talent search including internet search optimization, innovative candidate sourcing programs, passive candidate mining and networking, pre-screening, and candidate relationship management
+ Experience with applicant tracking system (ATS), iCIMS Preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
