The new Talent Acquisition Specialist role at NorthLakes will be a key position on our Recruitment team within Human Resources.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops and executes effective sourcing strategies to attract talent to meet today's needs, as well as our long-term strategic growth. This role will oversee the onboarding function for all talent as they join NorthLakes.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist has a strategic focus on developing sourcing strategies to support hiring needs and creating a welcoming experience for new hires and students as they come aboard. This role is responsible for sourcing talent, establishing and maintaining a network of potential candidates, recruiting for vacant positions and onboarding new members. They will represent NorthLakes at recruitment and community events, and will partner with the Senior Recruiters to carry out effective hiring strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing Talent: Develop and execute effective strategies to attract candidates for immediate hiring needs and for long-term growth.

• Recruiting & Networking: Establish and maintain a network of potential candidates, as well as local school and community partnerships, and may manage recruitment for vacant positions.

• Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires and students to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.

• New Employee Orientation: Plan and facilitate monthly New Employee Orientation sessions, with travel to Hayward WI for a 2-3 day period each month.

• Community Engagement: Represent NorthLakes at recruitment and community events to enhance brand visibility and attract talent.

• Collaboration: Partner with Senior Recruiters to execute hiring strategies effectively and ensure alignment with NorthLakes' strategic goals.

Key Requirements:

Travel: The role involves partially remote work with monthly travel to Hayward, WI for New Employee Orientation sessions.

Salary: Starting at $55,500+ depending on experience.

Focus on Strategic Growth: The position is designed to support both current hiring needs and the long-term growth of NorthLakes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Executes creative sourcing strategies to attract talent for open positions and develops pipelines for future needs using social media, job boards, and digital branding
  • Develops and maintains networking partnerships with schools and community organizations as a talent pipeline
  • Represents NorthLakes at career fairs, community events, and recruitment initiatives
  • Recruits for assigned job openings as needed
  • Responsible for the onboarding function and provides a welcoming experience to talent as they join NorthLakes
  • Serves as the point of contact for new hire/student communication and correspondence and leads onboarding meetings for planning purposes
  • Prepares and facilitates monthly New Employee Orientation program, in partnership with HRBP
  • Manages the Employee Referral Program and ensures timely payment of bonuses
  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town candidates and orientation sessions
  • Responsible for compliance and record keeping of all onboarding and employment-related requirements for new hires and students
  • Oversees career fair giveaways and new hire orientation supplies for the team
  • Maintains basic knowledge of employment requirements and government reporting regulations affecting hiring functions and maintains appropriate record keeping
  • Travels to new employee orientation sessions, clinic locations or events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

5+ years of experience in recruitment or human resources required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience with online and social media strategies using job boards, career websites, digital branding, social recruiting and mobile recruiting.

Required Credentials, Certification, Licensure:

SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
