Tanker Loader/Maintenance Technician - Technimark : Job Details

Job Summary: Feed thermoplastic materials from silos and bulk railcar to tanker. Climb and mount stationary and secure tanker truck. Operate silo hose equipped with front mounted clamp to lift & transport thermoplastic reprocessed or reground materials from storage silo to tanker truck. Keep equipment clean and in safe working condition. Maintain outside plant shipping and receiving areas. Reports to Shipping / Receiving Manager.Knowledge | Experience | Skills:Critical Thinking: Use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Time Management: Manage one's own time. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 1 -2 years of Shipping / Receiving experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Load efficiently and accurately. Climb and mount tanker truck in a safe manner, wearing harness. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Move hoses to transport materials from silo to tanker areas. Move levers and controls that operate filling and lifting devices, such as hoses, forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material. Perform routine maintenance on auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing worn or defective parts. • Signal coworkers to assist in discharge, dump, or leveling of materials. Turn valves and open hoses and / or chutes to dump, spray, or release materials from bulk cars or storage silos/bins into tankers and / or hoppers.
