Experience: Task Order Manager position requires 10 years of experience as a project manager and/or supervisor in repair and maintenance efforts onboard U.S. Navy ships. Ten (10) years' experience managing HM&E for repair, maintenance, and modernization.Task Order Manager shall have documented work history proving overall technical competence and possess knowledge of trade theory and up-to-date trade practices in the repair industry. Task Order Manager must: Have the ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications and blueprints. Be knowledgeable in the operation of powered machinery/tooling/equipment relevant to the trade skills. Be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments normally associated with cognizant shipyard trades. Be familiar with materials associated with the ship repair industry. Have the ability to recognize working conditions or use of materials that require initiation of safety precautions and have the PPE for said conditions or materials. Have working knowledge on how to read and understand the information provided in a MSDS. Be qualified and experienced at working, and overseeing work, in confined spaces (e.g. tanks, voids or stowage's) Task Order Manager shall: Coordinate all aspects for each Task Order (TO) with the Government Contracting Officer's Representative. Keep these government points of contact apprised of schedule, technical, material and financial issues pertaining to the Task Order. Provide overall management, oversight and supervision of lead workers in order to manage the work of the Task Order effectively and safely. Ensure the work of the Task Order is performed in accordance with the standards, guidelines, and procedures, as stated in each individual Task Order. Be responsible for the performance and conduct of supervisors assigned to fulfill a TO and shall ensure on-site supervision is performing their duties and responsibilities. Brief metrics or reports validating that the onsite supervisors are executing duties and performing IAW the Statement of work. Maintain a Weekly Status Report for each TO Ability to provide leadership when scheduling/production conflicts occur, and the team is looking for resolution. Supervises as many as fifty employees either directly or through subordinate Foreman Evaluates sets up and manages subcontracts for support work on awarded projects
