Tax Accountant - Soni Resources : Job Details

Part-time Sales and Use Tax OpportunityA Consumer Products firm located in central Long Island, is looking for a part-time Tax Accountant for a long-term contract assignment to assist with the preparation, review and filing of sales and use tax returns from Vertex for multiple states. This role is a part-time role that will be one week per month, usually the second or third week each month (5 days in-office, 35 hours, per month). Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5+ years of multi-state sales tax accounting experience
• Experience researching tax rules and regulations
• Proficiency with Vertex Returns or similar tax management systems
• Strong Excel skills

Preferred Skills:

• Oracle or Tableau experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation: $45/ Hour Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
