Tax Director - Abacus Group, LLC : Job Details

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Director to join their Mergers & Acquisitions group in their Manhattan, NY office.

• Develop tax strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize tax efficiency
• Advise on domestic and international tax issues, including compliance and planning
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact
• Coordinate due diligence efforts for M&A transactions, identifying potential tax risks
• Work with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure deals and transactions
• Guide post-merger integration and restructuring to maximize tax benefits
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and M&A advice
• Conduct client meetings and presentations to articulate complex tax concepts
• Develop strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and improving services
• Mentor tax professionals, guiding them on technical and professional matters

• 12+ years of tax experience
• Planning, compliance, and M&A experience
• Knowledge of US and international tax laws
• Business development experience required
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA strongly preferred
• Skilled in Excel
