Tax Manager with a $20+ billion, multi-national company.SummaryThe Tax Manager will work with internal accounting groups in the preparation and review of the tax accounting/reporting for federal and state tax compliance, tax position management, planning and business consulting.   • Review income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic tax law including Forms 1120 and 1065 as well as the tracking of tax basis.
  • Maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies.
  • Develop and train senior tax analysts, tax analysts and tax interns.
  • Update projections based on business forecasts and review quarterly tax accounting submissions.
  • Build and develop relationships across the Company to understand and optimize the various business tax positions.
  • Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results to the team and leadership.
  • Research tax impacts and determine required disclosures and reporting impacts related to transactions.
  • Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a JD.
  • 5+ years' of experience in a corporate or partnership tax compliance role.
  • Public accounting firm or large multi-national corporation experience.
  • Advanced understanding and application federal tax policies and regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of accounting theory to ascertain potential tax ramifications of complex business transactions.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects, communicating results and driving initiatives forward.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills, innovative thinking and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
  • Experience training, supervising and developing tax staff and/or interns.
  • Experience with BNA is a plus.
  • CorpTax and OneSource experience.
