We have the perfect opportunity for an experienced tax professional who wants to grow with a small but successful tax practice in Claremont. Our client base primarily consists of closely held local companies in various industries connected to owners/shareholders and unrelated individuals. We are looking for a team player willing to be actively engaged and collaborative with staff and a variety of clients with varying levels of complexity. Requirements: CPA or EA + ACTIVE PTIN 3+ years of professional experience serving as a small business tax preparer. Working knowledge of LLCs, Partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations and the tax issues relating to the election of these entity types. Understanding of basis and balance sheets. A passion for customer service and problem resolution. Proficiency with technology, including Smart Vault, Checkpoint Edge, Blue J, Excel, QBO Working knowledge of Lacerte is Required. Responsibilities Manage all tax engagements and projects and provide supervision and training to staff. Review and prepare federal and state corporate, partnership, individual, and trust tax returns, including multi-state Facilitate tax planning, research, and responses to federal and state tax notices as required. Motivated self-starter able to work on multiple clients/projects and provide timely service to our clients with limited supervision We are open to full-time or part-time employment. We expect full-time during tax season, and we are flexible during other times of the year. Salary is commensurate with experience.
